It is yesterday's weather that confused me a tad, though. I was on the pier awaiting the sunrise when I noticed an oddity of the weather related kind. On one side of the pier, it was clear (although dark) but facing the other direction, I saw it was foggy. Hmmm? Looking toward the east, there was very little, if any, mist coming off of the marsh but facing west, a heavy blanket of fog was rolling off the shore. My cousin, Michelle, lives just down the shore from me and it was her place that was filled with the heavy fog. It was weird, to say the least.

The Tale of Two Directions
Weather baffles me at times. I have seen times when it is raining while the sun shines, is hot one minute and hours later it is freezing or blowing a gale for a few minutes then as calm as glass for the rest of the day. This all, however, is typical weather on the Bayou. We expect the unexpected. Each day can bring something entirely different than the day before. Yesterday, we were all elated to see sunshine and temperatures that rivaled summertime, but today, Old Man Winter has returned.
