Pawpaw, Lets go for a ride!

Clyde, the restored rocking horse, seems to be a grand success!  The grandlittles spied the horsey early this morning and miles upon miles of riding have taken place since then.  The little horse carried those tots from the Bayou to Auntie Diana's house in Indiana, on to Grandmama's house in Tennessee, then to the stables for a rest before finally making a great trek chasing a gingerbread man.  (That, in itself, is a wondrous tale!)  PawPaw was the careful attendant making sure both kiddos were safe and sound as they clopped along at breakneck speeds.  Sometimes the horsey even carried them faster than the wind and made an airborne trip to a different planet!

Seeing the children grin, hearing their squeals of delight and being led by the hand to ride once again, made all the work well worth the effort. Hearing PawPaw's tales and seeing his smile while playing with the grandbabies warmed the heart.  It seems as if Clyde, the horse, is a hit with all ages.  Good job, Clyde!

It is amazing just how far a steadfast horse can transport two little tykes in their imaginations. It is truly uplifting to have the grandlittles here with us.  It is delightful how the happy chatter and giggles transform the Little Bayou House into the perfect paradise.  Ahhh...Christmas bliss!
