This afternoon, the "freeze mode" was not necessary as I am not considered to be a predator to any of the critters that see me out and about. They know that I mean no harm so they go about their business without worry. A small sparrow busied itself near the palmetto clump while i was just a few feet away. While the bird made no effort to conceal itself, I had to marvel at how well it blended with the background. Movement would be the only giveaway that the tiny bird was in the area. For now, the bird could scratch in search of food without a care in the world. Hopefully, it will always be that way but life is rough and the bird has to be wary. Good luck. Little Friend, good luck.
