It was another grey day on the Bayou. The rains would come intermittently and never stay around very long. The squalls that moved in were just bad enough to keep Ms. Ez and I from our daily hikes. Each time we headed out the door, a drizzly rain would start. She was one miserable dog and I was one miserable person. I wanted out just as badly as she did. Our sunrise...didn't. Although it tried, the sun could never break through the clouds long enough to give much light. I had to make up my mind that I was stuck indoors whether I liked it or not!
During the day, the winds picked up and let us know that we had a lot of dead limbs in the trees on the hillside. The dog and I tried once more to escape the confines of the Little Bayou House. She raced to find her ball for a quick came of fetch but after just one toss, we both raced..back inside! Again the clouds darkened and the rains pelted the rooftop.
All afternoon, the weather went downhill! Our sunrise that didn't happen melted into a sunset that never occurred either. Heavy, gloomy clouds were the rule today! Mr. Sun just gave up sometime in the morning hours and probably just went back to bed!
This evening, the wind rattles the windowpanes and whistles through the treetops. We are predicted to have a wild night of rains, winds, hail and perhaps tornadoes. Hopefully it will not be too bad and will just make for some nice sleeping weather! Mr. Sun....I will be up bright and early in the morning! I hope to see you out, too!
