Smokin' hot!

  We are in Georgia with our son and daughter-in-law for the next few days.  We can rest assured that whenever we visit, we shall be fed the most fantastic meals!  The first few times that we made the trip, the kids thought that they should take us out to dine each meal but that all came to a halt when I made the plea that we love eating at home.  Both Mark and Joanna are phenomenal cooks so I did have an ulterior motive!  I wanted to be treated to some of their fine cuisine!

  Since our son has been at work most days, we have been blessed with some mighty fine meals made by Joanna.  You could not ask for tastier foods! One meal after another filled our tummies!  Wow!  Then today after he came home from work, our son, Mark, started to work on a pork roast.  A homemade rub and special secret barbecue sauce were created to add the flavor to what would otherwise be a ordinary roast. Once the meat was seasoned and placed in a pan, the smoking began! Outside, the grill was brought to the perfect temperature and the roast was placed in for the duration of the smoking time.  

  By about 10:00 pm, the aroma filled not only the yard but the entire neighborhood.  I am sure that either the neighbors were very irritated that they were not invited to eat with us or were enjoying the scrumptious aroma that wafted from the smoker.  Yep, I sure do enjoy these meals!
