Sometimes you've just gotta.....

It has been a day.  Not particularly a bad day but just one of those days that seems to teeter on being irksome.  It started out well enough.  I took advantage of the coolness of the early morn by fertilizing the entire garden.  If that was not enough, I washed and hung the clothes out on the clothesline, watered the plants in the greenhouse and cleaned the storage shed.  I did all of this before eight o'clock in the morning.  It was then that things started getting weird.  I got a call from my brother telling me to stay inside.  Well, too late for that!  It seems that our woods was being searched by police.  A manhunt (menhunt?) was underway for two guys who had stolen a vehicle at gunpoint.  They abandoned the van and made an attempt at a getaway through the woods.  "Get inside and lock your doors." my brother demanded in no uncertain terms.  (I have the best brothers!  They continually watch out for my best interests!)  The day gets better....

Needless to say, I was stuck indoors.  This was fine as I had housework to keep me busy.  I cleaned the kitchen and mopped the floors.  Not much could happen there, could it?  Ha!  Crazy as it sounds, I got stung by a bee!  Yep...inside.  I had hung the mop out to dry on the back porch the last time I used it and obviously a bee decided to spend the night among the strands.  When I doused the mop and squeezed it of excess water, the bee stung my hand.  Oh, geez.  No one would believe this one!
I gave up working and played in the crafts.  I have been making macrame plant hangers which are sort of a mind-numbing, knot-tying, counting craft.  Thirty-four knots into one strand, I realized that I had used four of the wrong strings.  Not good.  For those who do not do macrame, you really have to untie those knots to remove them.  Thirty-four....THIRTY-FOUR!  I am still untying knots.  I moved to another project....one I liked!

I figured that three wrongs equals cookies.  Yep, sometimes you just have to sit down and have some milk and cookies to solve everything.  I baked some fresh, homemade, chocolate-chip cookies, got myself a glass of cold milk and let the problems of the world handle themselves!  Never fails!
