Ezzy..the hair factory!
Once inside, I decided that I had lollygagged about long enough. Something had to be done about the mess that had accumulated in the house! After stowing away all of the things that did not belong in the living room, I hauled out the vacuum cleaner. The rug a received a good once over then I moved near Ezzy's bed. It was here that I nearly clogged up the entire vacuum cleaner! I have never seen so much hair! This dog sheds more than any that I have ever seen! Of course, this is the first "indoor" dog we have ever owned so I guess that I just never noticed if our previous dogs shed or not. Those were outside dogs by choice..they wanted no part of this staying inside. They wanted their freedom to chase any and all critters that happened to cross into the yard. Ms. Ez on the other hand would rather lay on her bed and only venture out when I do. She is spoiled. But that hair! Everywhere! After vacuuming around her bed, it looked as if I had several puppies in the vacuum's canister! There were fistfuls of creamy white dog hair! Actually there was so much that Mark had to take the thing apart to give it a good cleaning. Every minute hole was clogged with a dust puppy!
After finishing the cleaning, I decided that Ezzy needed a good bath. Her doggy blankets were in the wash and she was surely not getting back on them dirty! So, out came the doggy shampoo, doggy creme rinse and doggy towels! (This dog has more "personal care" products than I do!) One thing nice about this dog is that she bathes on the front step! She patiently stands while I dowse her down with the hose, lather her and then rinse her. Once the rinsing is finished, I back away (FAR away!) and tell her to "shake". This she does well! She shakes! Hair flies! Soon the yard looks like it has been covered with a wool blanket! Hair floats through the air to softly land on anything and everything within a thirty foot area! After the doggy bath, I fluffed her with a towel...more hair! Hair covered the towel..hair covered the steps..hair covered me! She never stopped shedding! The more I rubbed..the more hair fell off of her body! My dog was going to be bald! She shook again..another cloud of hair floated into the air! Softly..gently..fluffing down upon the lawn! And to think...I have to do this all again in a couple of days! Ugh! Perhaps I should just vacuum the dog!
