The Babies Are Here!

When you spend every hour of every day in the same place, it is easy to overlook things.  When you are gone for just a short time (literally 36 hours), a lot of changes take place...flowers bloom, vines seemingly double in length and babies are born!  Babies!!!  Well, in this case, babies are transformed.   The little Frog Pond was quite full of assorted types of tadpoles when I had to attend to health issues.  After 36 hours of being away, I came home to froglets!  The Frog Pond is definitely living up to its name.  Hundreds of tiny green tree froglets have lost (or are losing) their tails and have legs.  The little ones are climbing on every pond plant there is!

I have no idea why the thought of hundreds more green tree frogs makes me uncontrollably happy but it does.  As it is, the adults sing an almost deafening concert each night.  The critters are perched upon my windows, doors and every piece of outdoor furniture.  They cling to trees, snuggle down among the leaves and hide in the fountain that spills into the pond.  They, also, eat a billion bugs!  The babies are here.  I am all smiles.
